The special program of activities organized by the Department of Culture and Festivities of the City of Molina de Segura on the occasion of the upcoming Christmas 2009/2010, which has a prominent role XIII Choral Festival Villancicos de Molina, was presented today Wednesday 9 December.
The presentation was attended by the Mayor of the town, Eduardo Contreras Linares, Councillor for Culture and Celebrations, Mariola Martinez Robles, and the Director of the Kodály Coral (Choral Festival organizer), José Bermejo Martinez.
The Carols Choral Festival XIII Molina, organized by the City molinense and coordinated by the Kodály Choir, takes place on Saturday 12 December at 20.00 pm in the Teatro Villa de Molina (in Chorrico Avenue, # 10).
The entrance fee is 4 euros.
The meeting will feature choral From Coro FECOREM (Federation of Choirs of the Region of Murcia), Cor FECONOVA (of the Federation of Cors de la Comunitat Valenciana) and Kodály Coral (Molina de Segura).
In addition, the festival this year offers an important new experience, participatory carols, with which it is intended to engage all citizens, both musically trained or not.
During the musical event, attendees at the same may be active players and interpreting, along with the choirs participating in the festival, two carols which have been known for a long time in Molina de Segura.
Previously, the Saturday December 12 at 12.00 pm in the Teatro Villa de Molina, will be the test of participatory carols.
The Choral Festival Villancicos de Molina emerges as a logical result of the important choral activities with which the municipality.
With its announcement, the Department of Culture intends to continue promoting the development of a cultural practice which involves a great number of citizens of Molina.
Since last year, the competition became a festival, trying to find new ways to provide increased quality and number of sessions offered.
The intention was to invite choirs proven track record, as those who visit the town this year, maintaining the common bond of Christmas Carols de Molina, to be sung by the choirs individually and jointly.
As human support and technical advice / musical of this festival, the Culture Department has the support of one of the oldest choirs in the city, the Kodály Coral.
