The City of Molina de Segura launches the #NOesNO campaign against sexual aggressions at the Patron Festivities 2019 (06/09/2019)

The City of Molina de Segura, through the Department of Gender Equality and Violence, has launched, with funding from the Participatvos Budgets, the #NOesNO campaign.

For a Molina de Segura free of sexist violence, coinciding with the celebration of the local festivities.

Today, Friday, September 6, in the Plaza de España, the opening ceremony of the Violet Point took place.

The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, and the Councilor for Gender Equality and Violence, Montserrat Montanos Villegas, attended.

As the councilor explained, "from the Department of Gender Equality and Violence we work to prevent sexist aggressions at these parties. We remain firm in our position to defend the rights of women, to be able to enjoy a holiday in freedom. second year in which we make the Violeta Point available to the citizens of Molina de Segura, placing it in strategic places to deal with all situations that may arise, in addition to informing about all services for victims of gender-based violence that we have in our City Council Our struggle is now stronger than ever, since we have been there for a year and a summer where there have been crimes and aggressions by this scourge that we must eliminate.

The following activities will be carried out in the campaign:


The Violeta Points are spaces, strategically located, attended by personnel with specific gender training and guidelines for action against sexist aggressions, in which the public is sensitized and is attended, informs and helps women and young victims of any type of sexist aggression .

Its purpose, therefore, is to raise awareness, prevent and enjoy the party with respect for women, free from harassment and humiliation.

Violet Points are provided with informative material.

Location location:

Plaza de España, day 6, from 12.00 h.

Bar Zone, days 6, 7, 13, 14 and September 15, from midnight.

El Romeral Sports Center, day 7 (B Side), and day 13 (Melendi), from 9 pm.


Taking advantage of the great citizen participation in the float parade of the Patron Saint Festivities, a float will participate in the parade that, in a fun way, will distribute informative brochures, as well as non-sexist gifts, during the tour, with the motto of Por a Molina de Segura libre of sexist aggressions.

The float will be equipped with a stereo, where songs that empower women and free of sexist content will be heard.

In addition, they will be distributed among the floats participating in the parade, merchandising against sexist aggressions, as well as being invited to join the initiative of not using music with lyrics of sexist content.


This action aims to give visibility to the problem of sexist aggressions through messages printed on napkins and coasters, which the City of Molina de Segura, will distribute in the establishments attached to the Route of the Tapa 2019. With this initiative it is intended to take the message to the maximum number of citizens, since during the holidays the influx of people in bars and restaurants increases considerably.


During the periods of festivals and festivals there are hundreds of thousands of glasses and plastic waste that end up in the streets, with the environmental impact that this entails.

Therefore, the Department of Gender Equality and Violence will distribute reusable cups on the bars of the concert venue with messages against sexist violence, to give visibility of the problem among concert goers, while reducing waste Plastics during the holidays.
