The Free Guided Tours Program of the Department of Tourism of Molina de Segura registers an increase of 19% in 2019 (03/01/2020)

The Department of Tourism of the City of Molina de Segura, for the seventh consecutive year and in collaboration with the Tourism Institute of the Region of Murcia and the Regional Network of Tourism Offices, organized during the year 2019 a total of 10 guided tourist visits and Free, which took place from February 2 to December 29.

1,600 people participated in these visits, which represents a 19% increase in visitors compared to 1,343 in 2018.

In this edition of the Free Guided Visits Program, it has continued with the possibility of booking online, so that interested persons have been able to consult and book their visit through the website www.murciaturistica.es.

In addition, the fact of managing the visits offered by computer has allowed the incorporation of opinions, ratings and comments, through satisfaction surveys.

The Tourist Office of Molina de Segura has obtained an average score of 9.62 out of 10 in terms of staff attention.

For the fourth year, the visit to MUDEM has been incorporated into the Program, with a total of 460 reservations.

In addition, for the second consecutive year, the Route of the Nativity scenes has been carried out, with 48 attendees on this occasion.

Due to the success obtained in 2018, last year 2019 the visits Walks through the Cemetery was carried out again, by the hand of the writer Paco López Mengual, with an assistance of 643 people.

As for the proposed tours, four new guided tours were incorporated in 2019: Molina de Segura: cradle of the canned vegetable, at the end of which the exhibition of models of Jesús Herrero that can be seen in the Sala El Jardín was visited;

Urban Sculpture Route, in collaboration with the Molinense artist Pepe Yagües;

Route through the Sotos del Río Segura, in collaboration with the Huerta de Molina Neighborhood Association and the Route from the Field to the Huerta, where the Albarda Rites and Traditions Center of the Field of Molina and the Carlos Soriano Ethnographic Museum were visited .

The Councilor for Tourism, Andrés Martínez Cervantes, has stated that "the City of Molina de Segura has opted to boost the tourist structure of the municipality and the realization of this Free Guided Tours Program contributes to the promotion of tourism at the local level as well as to development of companies, businesses and establishments related to tourism activity ".

The mayor invites to participate in the next edition of this Program in 2020 "to all people who wish to discover the variety of tourist attractions that the municipality has."

In addition, he thanked "the selfless collaboration in this Program of many people and groups of the town", among which are: the Association of Neighbors Huerta de Molina, the Municipal Orchestra Hims Mola, the Cabildo Superior de Cofradías de Molina de Segura , the Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Sorrows, the Brotherhood of the Holy Burial, the Villa de Molina Theater, the Molina Choir and Dance Group of the Francisco Salzillo Regional Association, and the Parish of the Church of Our Lady of the Assumption.
