The Professional Conservatory of Music Maestro Jaime López de Molina de Segura organizes a piano master class on January 20, 21 and 22 (14/01/2020)

The Piano Department of the Professional Conservatory of Music Maestro Jaime López de Molina de Segura organizes a piano master class, by Pilar Valero Abril, Piano Professor of the Superior Conservatory of Music of Murcia and Doctor of Human Sciences from the University of the Rioja, on Monday 20, Tuesday 21 and Wednesday, January 22, from 3.30 p.m. to 9.30 p.m., at the Virginia Martínez Fernández Auditorium, at MUDEM.

The course is aimed at students of this specialty.

Pilar Valero Abril begins his musical studies at the Conservatory of Music of Murcia, with Miguel Luis Losada, ending them with Extraordinary Prize.

Later he moved to Granada to study at a higher level (under the direction of Juan José Pérez Torrecillas, who was a direct student of the great pianist and teacher Eduardo del Pueyo), and there he received the Third Prize in the Musical Youth Contest.

In 1991 he received a scholarship from the Belgian Government to expand his studies at the Mons Royal Conservatory (Belgium), under the direction of Patricia Montero, obtaining a First Prize with distinction.

Subsequently he continues higher studies in Brussels with the teacher Aquiles delle Vigne, direct disciple of Claudio Arrau and of Pueyo.

Since then he has developed an intense concert activity, playing in Italy, Belgium, France, Tunisia, Luxembourg, Germany, Russia and Ljubljiana (where he makes a recording for Slovenian television), with great critical success.

As a soloist, it is worth highlighting the interpretation of Mozart's KV 466 and KV 212 Concerts, Beethoven's Concerts 3 and 4, and the F.Poulenc Concert, with the Youth Orchestra of the Region of Murcia, the Orchestra of the Region of Murcia, and the Murcia Symphony Orchestra, respectively.

Bach concerts with the Czech orchestra Solistas de Brno with the Orchestra of the 21st century, under the direction of Jordi Mora, the Concert in La m de Schumann.

He has also performed the Op.18 concert by Rachmaninoff in Ekaterinburg, (Russia), with the Ural Philarmonic Orchestra, and with the Ploiesti-Orchestra of Romania.

He has completed training courses with: Pierre Hantaï (key), C. Guinovart, Jan D'Haene (analysis and harmony), Blanca Uribe, P. Badura-Skoda, Emile Naumoff, Aquiles delle Vigne, Pavel Egorov, Maria João Pires, etc.

He has taught courses in Montserrat, Miranda de Ebro, Almería, Granada, Jaén, etc.

and has been invited on numerous occasions to hold conferences on topics related to music, and with women composers, on which she has published numerous works. Among her publications she highlights a work on music in cafes and silent films in Murcia (Music in the cafés-concerts and in Murcia cinemas at the beginning of the 20th century, Work DEA, Universidad de la Rioja, 2009), and about music in workers 'associations Music in cafés and in workers' associations: approach to a sound map of Murcia in the first third of the twentieth century in Nationalist Discourses and Musical Practices (1900-1970), Logroño, Pilar Ramos López (ed.), Logroño, University of La Rioja, 2012), as well as an article on the pianistic work of the Murcian composer Julián Santos (Julián Santos: One Hundred Years of Music 1900-2008. Murcia, Ed. Lyric Company J. Santos, 2008), and numerous articles on the contemporary piano in the Magazine Music d'Ara.

With the contemporary music group Concertus Novo he has recorded a CD with works by composer Manuel Seco.

As well as a CD with works by L. de Grignón with the Catalan group Barcino.

She has been invited to participate as a jury in the competitions San Bartolomeo di Mare, from Italy, and Petrof, El Ejido, Diputación de Albacete and Clamo Music, from Spain.

He has studied composition under the direction of Javier Darias at the ECCA of Alcoy (part of the Contemporary Music in Europe project, with recitals in different countries).

He has toured Spain with the Ural Philharmonic Orchestra, performing the Second Rachmaninoff Concert Op. 18, under the direction of Lin Tao and Dimitri Liss, with great critical success.

He has performed the Shostakovitch Quintet with the prestigious Kopelman Quartet, as well as numerous concerts, including the Third Prokofieff Concert in Do M with the Murcia Symphony Orchestra.

She is a Doctor in Human Sciences from the University of La Rioja.

In 2018, he obtained, by opposition, the Piano Chair of the Manuel Massotti Littel Superior Conservatory of Music of Murcia, a center where he has taught for more than fifteen years.
