The City of Molina de Segura, represented by the Councilor for Promotion and Economic Strategy, José de Haro González, and the Councilor for Trade, Tourism and Handicrafts, Andrés Martínez Cervantes, attended Thursday, March 5, the II National Meeting of Industrial Municipalities and Logistics, held in Valencia.
Molina de Segura has been invited, for hosting great economic weight due to its industrial and logistic generation, to the II Logistic Forum of Riba-Roja de Turia, in the Masía de Poyo de San Antonio of this city of Valencia, where the municipal representatives have assisted and intervened as the voice of one of the most industrialized Spanish cities.
This is the second edition of a meeting that was born in 2018 as a meeting point and exchange of experiences of the most industrialized municipalities in the country, and where the weight of logistics and transport is extremely important.
The municipality of Molina de Segura has been invited ex profeso, as it is one of the municipalities of the Southeast that holds the most industrial and logistic fabric, as well as being one of the Spaniards that is most strongly betting on specialized management towards the company, the rehabilitation of business areas, the generation of new economic spaces, and the improvement and promotion of the Molina brand.
Most of the participating municipalities are, like Molina de Segura, medium-sized municipalities belonging to important Spanish metropolitan areas, with an economic weight that, sometimes, exceeds in many sectors that of the capital itself on which it revolves.
This National Encounter of Industrial and Logistic Municipalities is the largest Spanish forum of its kind, where multiple industrial municipalities are grouped along the main roads of the State: such is the case of the municipalities of Mondragón, Martorell, Arteixo, Antequera, Elda, Riba-Roja, Mérida, Linares, Rubí, Cheste, Loriguilla, Guarromán, Azuqueca de Henares, Bailén or Meco.
The event, which has been highly interesting and enriching for the Molinense City Council, because the problems and challenges that these municipalities have in common, as well as that of Molina de Segura, have been composed of an institutional welcome part of the Valencian authorities , the conclusions of the I Logistics Forum, four blocks with a discussion table, and a final part of conclusions and closure.
The four tables have dealt with: Examples of municipal industrial planning and strategies;
Tools and initiatives for sustainable industrial investment at the local level;
Application, cases and good practices of industrial impact of CSR in the local environment;
and Future of employment in the industrial sector, social dialogue and decent work.
The experiences reported, as well as the interventions, have been of such relevance and interest, that the City of Molina de Segura brings a long list of ideas, commitments, proposals, contacts and projects that may be a reality in the coming months , by swelling and strengthening the local strategy of the Business Office, that so many good results are obtaining for the municipal economy and wealth.
The Councilor for Economic Promotion and Strategy, José de Haro, has intervened in the session by announcing the multiple activities and services that the Business Office is carrying out, while congratulating the organization for the usefulness of the event and for form a highly recommended forum of industrial cities that have the same future and present challenges in common.
He also said that "we get a great impression of this national forum, while it has helped us to share problems and proposals that all municipalities really have in the same way. We take great work home, and even proposals and solutions that, in principle, had nothing to do with this issue, such as, for example, practical cases of municipal treasury. "
