Pedro Martínez, coordinator of the United Left-Greens of Molina de Segura, denounces that last September, an indiscriminate felling of more than (175) pines was carried out in a protected area of ​​the Rambla de las Monjas, in the area of urbanizations.

For this reason, he, on behalf of the organization of the United Left-Green Molina, presented a letter to the town hall, in which he asked for explanations about such a "wild" act, as well as the corresponding permits, if they exist, that would allow the felling of these specimens of pines, between twenty and forty years old.

As of today, the city council has not been able to respond to that letter, presented on October 1, 2019.

Pedro Martínez wonders, why boost citizen participation, if when citizens participate, asking different issues that affect them, they are completely ignored?

The Coordinator of the left-wing organization also asks, Why do we raise the banner of environmental protection, and the fight against climate change, while actions such as the one we are mentioning are being made or allowed?

Finally, Pedro Martínez, wants to record again, the questions and requests made on October 1, 2019.

Five months ago:

1. If permission has been granted to the Segura Hydrographic Confederation (CHS) to execute the felling of more than 175 pines in the protected areas of the waterfront.

2. Criteria or criteria that the Segura Hydrographic Confederation (CHS) has followed to authorize the said felling.

3. Criteria or criteria followed by the person responsible for the competent department and its technicians.

And for which we request copies of:

1. Request for permits to the Segura Hydrographic Confederation (CHS).

2. Granting of the permits requested to the CHS.

3. Contract, specifications of administrative clauses and specifications of technical conditions, as well as actions of the contract of the works carried out (clearing and felling of pines) in the Rambla de las Monjas.
