The Councilor for Economic Strategy of the City of Molina de Segura, José de Haro González, accompanied by the head of the Municipal Business Office, has held a meeting with the General Director of Energy and Industrial and Mining Activity of the Region of Murcia Eduardo Piné , and the Head of Energy Service, Amador Ruiz, to deal with matters of the utmost importance for the municipality.
The meeting took place last Monday, March 9 at the headquarters of the General Directorate, as a continuation of another held on February 27, given the long content of the issues to be discussed.
The list of matters of municipal interest has been constituted by eight main sections, developed during the two meetings held, all aimed at focusing municipal activity on the economy, industry and transport, as the first step for investment in social and citizen matters .
Eduardo Piné and Amador Ruíz have been invited to the Internationalization Forum that the City of Molina de Segura will celebrate on Thursday, March 12 at MUDEM, where the current coronavirus crisis will be discussed, among other things, in the export activity and importer.
As a second point, the active participation of Molina de Segura in the work table that can be constituted to treat the global industry of the Region, as a fully industrialized Murcian municipality, and bearer of great experience in pro-industrial policies, has been proposed.
Similarly, the presence of the municipality was communicated in the II Logistic Forum of Industrial Municipalities of Spain, held last week in Riba Roja, in the sense that Molina de Segura offers to host a similar forum in the Region from Murcia, to be organized potentially by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia.
The new Municipal Events Venue has also been presented, located in the old Carmosa plot, where the municipality will soon have a great service for economic, commercial and industrial activity, exposing and putting value in the companies of the municipality.
Another of the main reasons for the meeting is motivated by the request of the Moline industrialists, and the entire Vega Media, in addition to the new promoters of business areas such as Hercas, Molina Norte or Profusa, of the low electrical power available in the area.
It has been urged for Iberdrola to foresee these new needs, and to solve this deep business concern.
After previous meetings with the National Technological Center of Conservation and Food, the offer of transfer provision or other acquisition model has been moved, of a new 6,800 m2 municipal plot, for the potential transfer and extension of the center to the Urbanization Casa del Aire, next to the Espinardo Campus, but on land of the Molinense term, where a total of 13,600 m2 could be built, compared to the current 2,600 m2.
More requests made to the Director General have been the need and search for hotel investments for Molina de Segura, so lacking this private service, but even restricting the municipal expansion of activities and related businesses.
A dossier of public and / or private plots has been moved, where potential investors can study the implementation of two city, business and urbanization hotels.
Finally, the idea has been proposed that the Autonomous Community write in the next regional budgets, some investment plan in business areas, in the style of what has been done with the Neighborhood and District Plans.
José de Haro has affirmed that "Molina de Segura is very committed to the industrial impulse and to the promotion of economic activity, certain that it is the most regular option and the one that generates the most stable wealth".
He adds that "we are sure that, after the positive meeting held at the General Directorate of Energy and Industrial and Mining Activity, we will be able to establish new lines of collaboration with the regional administration, aware of the business importance of the municipality, where 5,000 companies live together, distributed in 4 million m2, and that generate neither more nor less than 11% of the regional GDP ".
