The City Council of Molina de Segura adopts new prevention measures against COVID-19 in various areas of the municipality (13/03/2020)

The City Council will continue to be informed daily about new measures and news on the municipal website www.molinadesegura.es and their profiles on social networks

The First Deputy Mayor and spokesman for the Municipal Monitoring Committee of the COVID-19 in Molina de Segura, Ángel Navarro García, reports that, after the suspension decreed by the Regional Government of the classroom teaching activity in all the educational centers of the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia from next Monday March 16, the Molina de Segura City Council transfers it to the municipal sphere with the following measures to suspend activity from the same date:

Municipal Infant Schools.

Maestro Jaime López Conservatory of Music.

Municipal School of Music.

Extracurricular activities and transfers of spaces for sports and cultural activities in all educational centers.

Occupational Classroom teaching activities.

Municipal schools and sports activities for children and youth and adapted sports.

Activities of childhood and adolescence of the Department of Social Welfare (Integra and Crece Molina Programs).

Environmental Education Program for Molina Educational Centers Discover your Environment 2019/20.

Workshops for educational and family centers at MUDEM.

Children's workshops at the Salvador García Aguilar Library.

Workshops and activities for youth of the Department of Youth.

Service Concilia Openings that from the Department of Equality and Gender Violence has been provided in the CEIP El Romeral, Cervantes, Our Lady of Fatima, San Miguel, Tierno Galván, Master Francisco Martínez Bernal, San Antonio and El Siphon.

It is postponed until March 30, the date set for the resumption of classes.

Regarding the list of recommendations adopted by the General Directorate of Sports, in agreement with the General Directorate of Public Health and Addictions, the Molina de Segura City Council agrees on the following measures:

Precautionary postponement of all training or sports activities of the different teams and organized groups that use the municipal sports facilities.

Precautionary postponement of all offers of physical and sports activities in municipal facilities aimed at the adult population.

This measure includes the suspension of the 4 municipal amateur leagues.

On the other hand, the First Deputy Mayor has reported the closure of day centers for the elderly and people with disabilities, both those that provide public and private services.

According to the data provided by the Department of Sports and Health, at 10:00 am today, Friday, March 13, no citizen of Molino has tested positive for COVID-19 and the Hospital de Molina does not have any patients with COVID-19 admitted.

The Molina de Segura City Council will continue to report daily on new measures and news through press releases, which will be published on the municipal website www.molinadesegura.es and on municipal social media profiles.
