The First Deputy Mayor of Molina de Segura and spokesperson for the Municipal Monitoring Committee of COVID-19 in the municipality, Ángel Navarro García, has reported that members of the Armed Forces have arrived, today, Tuesday, March 24, to Molina de Segura to collaborate in the surveillance and control of the movement of vehicles and people and in the disinfection of sensitive points to prevent the expansion of COVID-19.
His presence was requested yesterday Monday to the Government Delegation in the Region of Murcia by the Local Police Coordination Table of Molina de Segura.
Said Local Police Coordination Table, made up of the Councilor for Citizen Security of the Molinense City Council, the Chief Inspector of the National Police Station in Molina de Segura, the Chief Commissioner of the Local Police of the municipality and the Civil Protection Technician of Molina de Segura , after the meeting held yesterday, Monday, March 23, agreed to request the presence of the Armed Forces in the municipality of Molina de Segura for preventive and dissuasive purposes or possible unexpected situations, taking into account the extension of the state of alarm established by Royal Decree 463 / 2020, of March 14.
A total of 28 military personnel and seven vehicles from BRIPAC from the Javalí Nuevo detachment collaborate this morning in monitoring and controlling limitations on the movement of vehicles and people in the municipality, as well as containment measures in the area of commercial activity and other measures prescribed in the Royal Decree, in close collaboration with municipal services, the National Police Force and the Local Police, with the support and cooperation of Civil Protection.
In addition, the members of the Armed Forces, through the Balmis operation, will also collaborate in the disinfection of sensitive points, which has already begun the Department of Municipal Services and Public Buildings and the service company Sercomosa.
They will carry out actions at the following points:
Nursing homes and senior centers.
Molina Health and Hospital Centers.
Supermarket and gas station parking.
Security Forces and Corps Headquarters and Avda. De Madrid and Calle Canarias.
Companies with more than 30 workers: FINI, VIDAL, Auxiliar Conservera, etc.
Debuggers of La Espada, La Hornera and Campotéjar.
Public water tanks.
Exterior areas of schools, nursery schools, institutes, libraries and municipal buildings.
