A special device made up of 30 vehicles and 55 members of the UDIF Forest Brigade is carrying out, on Thursday, April 2, cleaning and disinfection work in sensitive areas of Molina de Segura to prevent the expansion of COVID-19 (02/04/2020)

Starting Monday, April 6, pediatric consultations throughout the municipality of Molina de Segura will take place at the Jesús Marín Health Center.

The First Deputy Mayor of Molina de Segura and spokesman for the Municipal Monitoring Committee of COVID-19 in the municipality, Ángel Navarro García, reported today, April 2, that, coordinated by the departments of Municipal Services and Public Buildings, Citizen Security and Sports and Health, cleaning and disinfection work is ongoing throughout the day in sensitive points throughout the municipality, carried out by the Forest Brigade of the Forest Fire Defense Unit (UDIF) of the Region of Murcia, as a preventive measure against the expansion of COVID-19.

A device made up of 30 vehicles and 55 troops, accompanied by members of Civil Protection, the Sercomosa service company and local police officers, carries out these tasks, for which the municipality has been divided into 6 intervention areas, in which have been included nursing homes, health centers and Molina Hospital, as well as other sensitive areas where establishments of first necessity are located, such as supermarkets, financial institutions, pharmacies or gas stations.

On the other hand, Ángel Navarro has reported that, according to the data provided by the coordinators of the municipality's health centers, starting next Monday, April 6, pediatric consultations in the entire municipality of Molina de Segura will take place at the Jesús Marín de Molina de Segura Health Center.

The 4 sick leave of pediatricians due to COVID-19 infections, without the possibility of substitution, force the implementation of a centralized pediatric ring service in order to guarantee the service.

Thus, as of April 6, there will be no pediatrics at the Antonio García Health Center or the La Alcayna Clinic.

The Jesús Marín Health Center will have 2 pediatricians daily, one specifically for respiratory patients and the other for other pathologies.

In addition, the Jesús Marín Health Center stops attending to patients in the afternoon medical consultations, who come to be attended in the morning.

As for the incidence of COVID-19 in the municipality of Molina de Segura, today Thursday, April 2, the Hospital de Molina has 12 patients admitted with COVID-19, none from Molina de Segura.

On the other hand, as of Wednesday, April 1, Molina de Segura has 48 positive cases for COVID-19.

The Molina de Segura City Council informs daily about news through press releases, which are published on the municipal website www.molinadesegura.es and in the municipal profiles on social networks.
