Postcovid-19 videoconference sessions, facing the future of cities in terms of Citizen Participation in Molina de Segura (21/05/2020)

The initiative has been promoted by the Participation Department of the Moline Consistory, together with the Federation of Interbarrios Neighborhood Associations and the Open Chair for Innovation and Participation of the universities of Murcia and Polytechnic of Cartagena The Participation Department of the Molina de Segura City Council, together with the Federation of Neighborhood Interbarrios Associations and the Open Chair for Innovation and Participation of the universities of Murcia and the Polytechnic of Cartagena, consider the need to offer reflective spaces and training to address with sufficient intellectual tools the debate that the new normality imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic and the future of cities in terms of citizen participation pose.

In the same way, it is proposed to experiment with new ways of meeting and meeting through ICTs, which allow creating future spaces for debate to build a city, Molina de Segura. For the Department of Citizen Participation, it is essential to promote and disseminate critical thoughts that allow the continuous training of the entire population.

For this reason, a series of telematic conferences has been created, under the name of Postcovid-19, to face the future of cities in terms of Citizen Participation, with speakers such as Lina Gálvez, Professor of History and Economic Institutions and MEP, Fernando Pindado, collaborating professor at the Institute of Government and Public Policies (IGOP), and Luis Molina Temboury, economist and member of Economists against the Crisis, in addition to the presentation of the book Participatory Budgets: Contributions and limits to radicalizing democracy, coordinated by Yves Cabannes, José Manuel Mayor Balsas and José Molina Molina.
