Collaboration agreement between the Hospital de Molina and the European University of the Canary Islands (28/07/2020)

The Hospital de Molina and the European University of the Canary Islands have signed an Educational Collaboration Agreement, which regulates the external academic curricular practices that the students of Nutrition and Human Dietetics of the University Institution will carry out at the Hospital Center. With this agreement, like the one signed a few weeks ago with the European University of Madrid, it is intended to reinforce the training of both undergraduate and postgraduate students in Human Nutrition and Dietetics in the operational areas of the Hospital de Molina to provide them with a vision real of the problems and preparing their incorporation to the labor market. In the words of the Director-Manager of the Hospital de Molina, Pedro Hernández Jiménez, "with the signing of this agreement, at the Hospital de Molina we take a further step in our relationship with the university world, making it possible, among other issues, for students from Undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in Human Nutrition and Dietetics from the European University of the Canary Islands can complement their practical training at our Hospital Center, in this way, we continue to promote teaching programs that contribute to the training of Health professionals and, therefore, to the health education of the citizens of Molina de Segura and the Vega Media region ". For the dean of the Faculty of Biomedical and Health Sciences of the European University, Daniel Hormigo Cisneros, "this agreement is part of the commitment to experiential learning that we carry out from the European University and where practical training and closeness to the professional world are essential ". With the completion of these academic practices, it is intended to achieve the following objectives: Contribute to the comprehensive training of students, complementing their theoretical and practical learning. Facilitate the knowledge of the work methodology appropriate to the professional reality in which the students will have to operate, contrasting and applying the acquired knowledge. Encourage the development of technical, methodological, personal and participatory skills. Obtain practical experience that facilitates entry into the job market and improves your future employability. Favor the values ??of innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship.
