| The jury is scheduled to issue its ruling in late October or early November and the Prize will be awarded in December 2020 | The seventeenth edition of the Setenil Award for the Best Book of Stories Published in Spain, convened by the Department of Culture of the Molina de Segura City Council, has maintained a high level of participation despite the circumstances arising from the pandemic situation, having presented a total of 79 titles by publishers and authors from all over the national territory.

This figure demonstrates both the strength of the story genre and the resonance and importance of the award in our country.The Setenil is endowed with 10,000 euros for the author of the winning work.

This year, the jury that will fail the Prize will be chaired by the Lola López Mondéjar from Molín, novelist, clinical psychologist and author of books of stories such as "The silent thought of fish", "Blood ties" and "What a wonderful world" .

They will be members of the jury Francisca Noguerol, Professor of Hispanic American Literature at the University of Salamanca specialized in the study of brief genres, and Vicente Cervera, Professor of Hispanic American Literature at the University of Murcia.

The jury is scheduled to issue its ruling in late October or early November.
