in the regulations of the European Union Solidarity Fund | The Molina de Segura City Council will receive 134,885.75 euros from the European Union Solidarity Fund to alleviate the damage caused in the town by the DANA of September 2019, as reported by the Consistory of the Ministry of Finance. The criterion used by said Ministry has been that of the committed expense.
This was declared by each Territorial Entity and Ministry, after the request made by the General Directorate of European Funds, on March 16 of this year, after a detailed report of the actions carried out which should respond to the typology and the emergency nature of first necessity required in the regulations of the European Union Solidarity Fund, including also a precise quantification of the expenses actually committed, executed and paid. The Ministry of Finance, informs in its communication, that the financial contribution of the Fund, which in the country as a whole has been 56.7 million euros, will be used within eighteen months from the date on which the Commission has disbursed the full amount of the aid. On the other hand, the Molina de Segura City Council received another communication on June 4, 2020, in this case from the Government Delegation in the Region of Murcia, informing about the granting of a subsidy, to also mitigate the damages of DANA of September 2019, for an amount in this case of 427,161.02 euros. This subsidy was intended for unavoidable actions that had been carried out in order to guarantee the operation of essential public services and public health, as well as evacuation, accommodation and food for those affected, removal of sludge and cleaning of roads and essential public environments for restoring normality. During DANA and later, various actions were carried out that gave rise to the drafting of a total of 23 projects that are the subject of said grant.
These actions consisted of cleaning trawling and sludge, conditioning for the restoration of different roads and vials, removal of fixtures and waste management from public roads, emergency actions for the repair of water and sanitation networks, restoration in different stations pumping, and food expenses of people housed in public centers. Likewise, the City Council of Moldova sent a total of 22 projects to the Government Delegation on June 23, for an amount of 5,087,332.72 euros, thus availing itself of the line of subsidies, provided for in Decree Law 11/2019 and which contemplates that the projects presented can become subsidized with up to 50% (the remaining 50% would be assumed by the City Council). Those 22 projects contemplate improvement actions practically throughout the entire municipality of Molina de Segura, highlighting the projects of: repair in Huerta de Arriba and Huerta de Abajo, with a total of 12 roads included in this project; repair of 4 roads in La Torrealta (El Bosque, La Isla, El Islote and La Canal); repair of roads 6 in La Ribera (Vereda de la Barca, Canal Bridge, Los Almarjales, Vereda del Chapín, Camino del Hondo and Panderón de los Giles); repair of 12 parish roads in the upper area (Camino del Canal, Marchantes, Quinto Pino, Delicias, Hoya del Fenazar, Cuevas de Comala, Magnolia, Pepe Larrosa, Casas Viejas, Almazara and Colinas; as well as repair of a good number of Damaged municipal infrastructures, such as the Noria Carlos Soriano, the sports court of La Barceloneta,the Municipal Velodrome, the Ermita Pumping Station, various sewage collectors and several vials of industrial estates in La Polvorista, La Serreta and El Tapiado, as well as roof repairs on municipal buildings.
