| Entries will be formalized until next October 14 | The Youth Department of the City Council of Molina de Segura, in order to promote, support and channel the creative and cultural work of young people, has convened the Young Artistic Creation Competition CREARTE 2020.
The initiative has been presented in a round of press, today Friday, September 4, in the Plenary Hall of the City Council, by the Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, and the Councilor for Youth, Soledad Nortes Navarro. In its fourth edition, CREARTE establishes the following modalities: music, literature, visual arts, shorts and documentaries, and photography.
Young people can participate, collectively or individually, aged between 14 and 35 years (as of December 31, 2020), born or who prove their residence in the Region of Murcia.
The budget for this edition amounts to 18,000 euros. Likewise, the following prizes are established for each modality: Music: a first prize of € 1,200, and three second prize of € 500 each. Literature: in short stories, a first prize of € 700, a second prize of € 400 and a local prize of € 400 are established; and in poetry a first prize of € 700, a second prize of € 400 and a local prize of € 400 is established. Photography: a first prize: € 700, a second prize of € 400 and a local prize of € 400. Visual arts: a first prize of € 1,000, two second prizes of € 400 and a local prize of € 400 are established. Short films and documentaries: a first prize of € 700, a second prize of € 400 and a local prize of € 400. The Youth Council will hold an exhibition of Photography and Plastic Arts with the winning works and the selected non-winning works.
In the music category, it will organize a concert with the finalist groups.
As well as a public screening of the winners and selected in shorts and documentaries.
This activity will be carried out safely, following the established health protocols and with the corresponding capacity reduction, but if, due to the current health situation, it is not possible to do it despite the measures adopted, it will be done online digitally, by various platforms.
