The Municipal Network of Libraries of Molina de Segura celebrates its Cultural Week from October 19 to 24 on the occasion of the International Library Day, # DiaDeLibliotecas #SiempreAtuLado (16/10/2020)

| Taking advantage of this celebration, it will resume the Bibliocasa project: we bring culture to the door of your house | The Molina de Segura Library Network, on the occasion of the commemoration, on Saturday, October 24, of the International Library Day, # DíaDeLibliotecas #SiempreAtuLado, has organized a Cultural Week from October 19 to 24 with different activities. Since 1997, every October 24 is the International Library Day.

The proposal comes from the Spanish Association of Friends of the Children's and Youth Book, in memory of the destruction of the Sarajevo Library set on fire in 1992 during the Balkan War. This year's edition, under the slogan Libraries, always by your side, focuses on highlighting the important role that libraries play by offering access to culture, knowledge and entertainment in any place and circumstance.

With this, we want to value the capacity that libraries have shown, regardless of their type or ownership, to continue offering their services in circumstances as complex as those derived from the health crisis of COVID-19, in addition to recognizing the great effort carried out by librarians to adapt to the new needs of users and continue developing their work, even from home. For yet another year, the Molina de Segura Library Network organizes cultural activities to celebrate International Libraries Day.

Taking advantage of this celebration, in collaboration with the Social Welfare volunteers, the Bibliocasa project takes up again: we bring culture to your doorstep.

It is a service dedicated to the elderly who cannot or should not leave the house, so that books from the Library Network can be taken to their home.

All they have to do is call the library phones 968 64 37 30 and 968 38 99 18, request the book they want to read and the volunteer will take it home. Among other activities of the program, the following stand out: VII Contest in Social Networks Knowing yes occupying place (from October 19 to 24).

The winner will be announced on October 28.

Bases in: https://sgamolina.blogspot.com/ IV Children's Drawing Contest My library and me (submission period, from October 19 to November 12).

The winner will be announced on November 20. Winners of these contests will receive a gift. Friday, October 23, at 7:00 p.m., I meet live with the writer García de Saura and the SGA Library through the social network Instagram, where she will present her Houston Trilogy and Dreaming Big, Thinking Small, in co-edition with Alissa Brontë. Throughout these days, child users who visit the Library Network will receive hobbies related to libraries to solve at home. Monographic exhibition of children's / youth and adult books that deal or take place in libraries.

During the week of October 19 to 24, on the social networks of the Library Network you will be able to listen and hear messages from library users and from different components of culture, where they will express the importance of libraries. The Molina de Segura Library Network is made up of the Salvador García Aguilar Library (at Avenida del Chorrico, n ° 44), the Mercedes Mendoza Library (at Cervantes Street, n ° 5) and the Paco El Niño Panochista Reading Center (in the Social Center of El Llano de Molina, located in Calle Mayor, n ° 8, of said district of Moline).
