The section of N-301 where the Molina de Segura City Council has carried out repair works for damages caused by DANA in September 2019 opens to traffic (20/10/2020)

| The traffic diversion was carried out, last August, towards the attached deceleration and acceleration lanes, in the direction of Albacete, at the junction with the RM-B6 road, near La Serreta | The municipal investment made amounts to just under 200,000 euros The repair works that the Molina de Segura City Council has undertaken on the slopes of Avenida de la Industria (formerly N-301) and Calle Panamá, in the La Serreta Industrial Park, due to the damage caused by DANA on the 9th As of September 16, 2019, processed through the emergency procedure, the section of the N-301 that had been temporarily cut off due to the execution of the works has been concluded and has been opened to traffic. The works forced, in the month of August, to temporarily divert road traffic at the junction of the N-301 with the RM-B6 highway, in order to avoid the passage of vehicles in the two lanes of the trunk of the N -301 in the direction of Albacete, since the work was to be carried out along the entire width of the shoulder and the right lane, something for which it was required that there be no traffic in the left lane either for safety reasons. After the heavy torrential rains on September 12, 13 and 14, 2019, landslides and erosions occurred on the slope that supports Av.

De la Industria (old N-301) in the vicinity of the link of said road with the Polígono Industrial La Serreta and the RM-B6 road, mainly on the right bank, in the direction of Albacete, which led to the appearance of fissures and recesses in the right lane in the direction of Albacete, and forced to signal it to prevent traffic from flowing along said lane, proceeding to repair the cracks and potholes in said lane.

After these initial repairs, the fissures and recesses reappeared in a more accentuated way, and, after some geotechnical studies, it was determined that the main cause of said recesses was a landslide of the slope, caused mainly by the erosion of the same and the accumulation of humidity. In the same way, the slope that supports Calle Panamá to bridge the gap between said street and Calle Uruguay, located in the La Serreta Industrial Park, in the vicinity of the N-301 link with the La Serreta Industrial Park and the RM-B6 highway, also suffered landslides and landslides, causing the subsidence of the road and sidewalk in the lateral area closest to the slope, which forced to restrict traffic in that area. Due to the rapid evolution of the recesses and fissures observed in both cases, an emergency procedure was processed to undertake the repair of both slopes, since a situation of serious accident danger could be reached, particularly on the N-301, that supports intense heavy vehicle traffic. In both cases, in accordance with the recommendations of the geotechnical study, the unstable and deteriorated materials have been removed from the slopes and embankments, execution of a reinforced concrete wall at the foot of the slopes, which acts as a foundation for the each slope, reconstruction of the slopes and embankments with breakwater blocks, surface protection of the same, and replacement of the pavements, pavements, signaling, beacons and defenses. The investment has amounted to just under 200,000 euros.
