to 2 p.m.

For this day, the information and visitor reception service invites all those who visit the center to discover the fauna of this natural area of ??the municipality through the clues and evidence that we find during our walks through these places, all of this Thanks to the materials prepared and that will be made available to the attending public, with which the traces and remains of some of the species present in the Ecological Park can be identified, and the main characteristics of each of them will be made known. The little ones will be given a similar booklet and the template of the footprint of an animal present in the Park. With the delivery of these materials, from the information and visitor reception service it is intended that in the outings we pay more attention to what surrounds us and the result of our visit is as satisfactory and complete as possible.

In addition, during the opening hours, from 10:00 to 14:00, you can visit the permanent exhibition The history of Molina through its fossils. A large number of animal species live in Vicente Blanes Park and its surroundings.

This is due to the fact that it is an area halfway between two different ecosystems, which is known as an ecotone.

The fauna takes advantage of this area as a refuge, a range area and a breeding place.

More than 30 different species of animals corresponding to the various faunal groups have been cited in this area: mammals, such as the common fox or the weasel; birds, such as the shrike or the kestrel; reptiles, such as the ocellated lizard or the bastard snake; and different amphibians and invertebrates.

All these species leave evidence of their presence in the form of footprints, excrement and traces, and on this opening day we can find out what they are. The Councilor for the Environment, Mariano Vicente Albaladejo, proposes "to all the residents of Molina de Segura to come closer to discovering the rich fauna of these spaces in the north of the municipality, highlighting the continuous actions that are carried out in this and other areas of interest environment of our municipality in favor of the maintenance and conservation of biodiversity ".
