The Hospital de Molina is once again one of the finalists of the XV Edition of the Best In Class Awards (BIC), in the Internal Medicine and Traumatology Services.
And in addition, it also debuts as a finalist in a new category included in this edition, Best Humanization Project, for its Program "Humaniza + DIS: humanization of health through the integration of disability".With a holistic approach, this Program is aimed at helping people with any type of physical, psychological or mental illness, all of them, patients so that they can develop their lives in all their spheres.
To this end, it is articulated through two lines of action:Favor the labor integration of people with disabilities, through:Your direct hiring and incorporation into the staffContracting the provision of services with Special Employment Centers (CEE) and Employment Insertion Companies (EIL)Practical job training at the Hospital de MolinaEncourage the social and spiritual expectations of people with disabilities, through the strategic lines of the Hospital de Molina Social Action Plan, framed in its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy:Health Promotion and Dissemination Program aimed at associations of patients with disabilities.Collaboration with Social Organizations related to disability.Promotion of Culture and Sports among people with disabilities.Research and Teaching through the UCAM Hospital de Molina Research Chair, developing different research studies related to disabling diseases.In the words of the Managing Director of the Hospital de Molina, Pedro Hernández Jiménez, "the implementation of this initiative has meant for the Hospital de Molina to increase the diversity in the work teams, innovate our health care and management and humanize health at through the integration of people with disabilities, in all areas: work, social, cultural, sports, etc.
But without a doubt, the best result is listening to colleagues with disabilities, who have been part of our human and professional team for years, and that they assure that working in our Hospital has changed their lives for the better and allows them to think about the future.
The "Humaniza + DIS" Program is a small grain of sand of our Hospital with which we can effectively change lives ".The objective of the Best In Class Awards (BIC) - promoted by "Gaceta Médica" (publication of the Wecare-U communication group) and the Chair of Innovation and Health Management of the Rey Juan Carlos University, with the support of FundaMed (Fundación of Medicine and Health Products Sciences) - is to publicly and annually recognize the best Primary Care Center, the best Hospital and the best Services or Units in the national territory, both public and private, that seek excellence in the care they provide to your patients.Hospital de Molina was also ranked among the five best Hospitals in Spain in CSR (2018, 2017, 2016, 2015 and 2013), in Traumatology and Emergencies (2018, 2017 and 2016), in Internal Medicine (2014 and 2013) and in Clinical Safety (2012).The winners and finalists in the different categories are part of the "Guide to the Best Hospitals and Health Services" that is published annually.The awarding of these awards - which will take place at a virtual gala on December 17 - is based on the score obtained by the candidates with the Patient Care Quality Index (ICAP), specially developed for these Awards, and which is established from the multivariate analysis of the data provided by hospitals and primary care centers.The winners and finalists in the different categories will be part of the "Guide to the Best Hospitals and Health Services" that is published annually.
