The incidence data of COVID-19 in Molina de Segura continue to improve and the number of active cases drops to 42 (03/12/2020)

| As of yesterday, Wednesday, December 2, Molina de Segura has a cumulative incidence in the last 7 days of 62 , 6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants | The Mayor of Molina de Segura, Esther Clavero Mira, presented at a press conference, today Thursday, December 3, in the Municipal Plenary Hall, updated data on the incidence of the COVID-19 pandemic in the municipality.

He was accompanied in the presentation by the Councilor for Sport and Health, Miguel Ángel Cantero García. "The month of November that we have just left behind," said the Mayor, "has undoubtedly been the hardest and most painful that we have experienced in our town since the COVID-19 pandemic was declared.

A month with about 590 positive CRPs , with moments in which the Accumulated Incidence in 14 days has reached over 800 cases.

But the most serious and painful in November has been the fact of counting the death of 29 people, 29 lives cut short, a tragedy that continues being difficult to assume.

All the measures adopted in the last month have meant and continue to represent a great sacrifice for all citizens, but at the same time they are also helping us, thanks to the unconditional involvement of most of our society,to see a ray of light at the end of this long tunnel that begins to gain luminosity with the announcement that 2021 will begin with the administration of vaccines ". "I recognize that one of the most satisfying moments in recent weeks is when, every day, municipal health technicians provide me with data on infections and incidence, figures that help me see how, day after day, we get away from the worst data for November and we are approaching levels that place us in a clear recovery.

" As of yesterday, Wednesday, December 2, Molina de Segura has a total of 42 active cases, 23 less than last Wednesday, November 25, with a cumulative incidence in the last 7 days of 62.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, almost 21 cases less than a week ago. The decrease has also been very significant in Accumulated Incidence in fourteen days.

Last Wednesday we were in 230.9 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.

A week later that data was 147.4, that is, 83.5 less. So far in this second wave, the accumulated number of cases is 2,489.

The increase, in one week, has been 48 PCR positive, which represents an average of almost 7 daily cases.

Three weeks ago that daily average was 41 cases. By basic health areas, the data also encourages optimism.

Thus, the Accumulated Incidence in fourteen days in the South Zone falls to 299.2 cases, in the North Zone this incidence is 122.7 and in the East Zone 46.2.

"All these data, the Mayor points out, place us at levels similar to those we had in the first week of August, before the curve shot up again, something that leads us to think that, if we get distracted in complying with the measures of safety, hygiene and social distancing, we will be paving the way for a third wave in a few weeks.

For this reason, on the eve of Christmas it becomes necessary to call for individual and collective responsibility ". As Esther Clavero recalled, "we must bear in mind that the level of health alert in the Region of Murcia is currently extreme.

The Community is in Phase II of care risk, presenting a higher average hospital admissions figure in the last seven days to 400.

The level of virus transmission in Molina de Segura, and the consequent risk of contagion, taking into account the Accumulated Incidence in the last seven and fourteen days, is medium / high, and we will only go to a low level when the Accumulated Incidence weekly is below 75 cases and for fourteen days below 50 cases ". In Murcian municipalities such as Molinense, which are at a medium / high level, the following specific measures and recommendations are applied: - At wakes and funerals, the capacity is limited to 50 percent, with a maximum of 15 people in closed spaces and 25 in open spaces. - In nuptial celebrations and other religious and civil celebrations, 50 percent cannot be exceeded in closed capacity, with a maximum of 30 people.

During the entire event you must remain seated. - The activity of discos, dance halls, karaoke, pubs and cocktail bars remains suspended, both in open spaces and indoors.

Likewise, the activity of brothels and hostess clubs is suspended. - People from different cohabitation groups cannot spend the night in the same room. - Parks, gardens and similar public spaces are open until seven in the afternoon and it is mandatory during your stay in them to maintain physical distancing and hygiene measures.

Children's recreation areas and sports facilities in parks and gardens remain closed. - Bars and restaurants can provide hospitality services only on outdoor terraces with an occupancy level of 100%.

Inside the premises, the provision of this service is not allowed.

These establishments can prepare food to go or pick up on the premises. "In addition, we must insist on the general recommendations that have been established by the health authorities and that necessarily involve trying to limit as much as possible the social contacts outside the coexistence groups, avoid closed spaces, as well as those environments in which activities that are incompatible with the use of the mask or in which there is a large influx of people, "says Clavero. The prohibition of eating and drinking in public spaces not belonging to hospitality establishments also continues in force.

The consumption of alcohol on public roads is not allowed, as well as the realization of bottles, spontaneous parties and, in general, any non-regulated activity in public or private spaces, which involves crowds and is not previously authorized. Another prohibition in force is that of not smoking on public roads or outdoors when the minimum interpersonal safety distance of 2 meters cannot be respected.

This limitation also applies to the terraces of bars and restaurants. "The health crisis in which we are immersed is undoubtedly being a global challenge for the whole of society that is putting to the test, not only our health and economic system, but also the various administrations, emergency services, resources for social care and security forces.

The collective effort, social citizenship and sacrifices of the vast majority of our citizens must be maintained and even redoubled, because this continues to be the best tool we have to stop the expansion of the We must not relax, no matter how positive the indicators, any oversight, we know from experience, will be very expensive ", concludes the Mayor.
