PSOE: "About 200 families without preschool places in 2010-2011, with shares rising more than 22%" (23/06/2010)

The Municipal Socialist Group has reported the serious situation that will have about 200 families that have lost public square in nursery schools or in private schools.

Despite the crisis, to put more children in the classroom and while the City goes up shares in about 400 € per year, over 22%, families are seeking public places for their children to school.

Antonio Gomariz, Secretary General and Spokesman of the Socialist City, argued that the problem goes far beyond the educational and social or familial, affecting economic and welfare aspects.

Gomariz Antonio said that the problem persists and it does not work because "the PP does not fix it."

Has reported that the Mayor and other councilors have been busy and have been pending for other issues such as care and private education and defend their business interests, but not the interests of thousands of families who want to enroll their children under 3 years .

The way in which hundreds of families are left without square is unfair.

The selection criteria for admission and payment are the most unjust and worse than Spain.

The lack of space is compounded by the lack of a system in Molina with more objective criteria, more social and more fair.

The year 2010-2011 would have been the first places without problem.

But again, the Mayor and the PP fulfill their duties: The City Council has not provided the promised seats in the center of the Alcayna nor has begun construction of Glen Nursery School of the Ages.

Antonio Gomariz requires explanations and know why it has come to this situation, which clearly harms the public interest and public education.

Despite the cut of 16 million municipal deficit of 15 million cut in municipal investments for municipal economic plight, the Ministry of Education and the Autonomous Community has financed the center of La Alcayna and the Cañada de las Eras.

The Mayor and the PP can not remain silent, advocating education and private schools and seeing how every year hundreds of families are left without seats.

The PSOE demands halt the rise of € 400 per course, reforming the selection and assessments and to involve and engage more in the Autonomous Region in their competence, education.
