Teloncillo Theatre Company (Castilla León) presents the work MARCO POLO, targeting the family, on Thursday 1 May at 12.00 pm in the Teatro Villa de Molina (in Chorrico Avenue, # 10).
The entrance fee is 6 euros.
With this work, Teloncillo wants to travel with a young traveler and adventurer, the young Marco Polo, who was born in Venice around 1250.
As a boy, accompanied his father and his uncle Nicholas Matthew to the land of the Great Khan, which became, over the years, ambassador, and his mission visited almost all of Asia.
Returned home and loaded with honors, war broke out between Venice and Genoa, he enlisted in the army of his country, and was taken prisoner by the Genoese.
While in prison in Genoa, he dictated his memoirs to his cellmate, Rusticiano of Pisa, which were published shortly after getting in Italy, and later in Europe, an unprecedented success.
Marco Polo tells the story of that journey.
